In 1989, my wife Sue and I were working for one of the larger awning companies in the Portland, OR area.....

It was an excellent opportunity to learn how not to run a company. It seemed that whenever possible, our employers were willing to sacrifice the integrity of the product to save a few man-hours. This meant that inevitably, the customer was shortchanged and got an inferior awning or installation.

We decided to establish a business that took the extra time to ensure that our product was something we could be proud of.

The result was a client base that got larger rather than smaller; customers so happy with their awnings that they often referred us to their friends. Their friends sent us additional business and the whole thing mushroomed.

We now find ourselves in 2005, in the enviable position of having a reference list as long as your arm and a very impressive client base. We share a combined 30 years of experience and retain the same goals we had in 1989:
